Can you possibly tweak Winaero Tweaker to allow the user to not only choose a system font, as you can now, but also allow the user to change the font attribute, such as bold and also change the font size I am currently using 0.7.0.0 version and am also a member of the Microsoft Windows 10 Insider program and currently have Windows 10 Pro version 16170 installed. It seems that when I change from the default Segoe UI font to anything else the colon between the hours and the minutes display on the taskbar will always show a graphic rectangle instead of the colon. Nothing critical, just bothersome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have encountered a really strange problem today. I have an external disk that shows up in explorer. All works fine. I can read files from it. I can move files. But any time I try to write to the disk I get a windows popup saying “Disk drive malfunction”. It is a sata drive of course. Sometime I am able to finish writing and then close explorer and it works. But it happens once a day or more which is real annoying. I tried safe mode, and safe mode with networking, all the same. I also got a fire wall exception with no entry recorded. Winaero Tweaker has been running fine ever since I installed it. The problem started yesterday. Today I uninstalled it and rebooted. I don’t see anything in win log. I thought it was a Winaero problem but my sister also had the same problem with any 2ndary software. She tried multiple primary software. The problem persists. Please help.

Hello, I’m getting the same issue with the colon disappearing in the clock. I am running Win 10 Build 17063 (OS 16299.12130.amd64fre.rs6_release.16299.12130.181208-1700). Has anyone reported this problem to Winaero Tweaker?

I just downloaded and installed Winaero Tweaker Pro v0.7.3 and with your updates. I’ve discovered that if I change the Font Type to anything other than System fonts ( Dejavu Sans, Segoe UI), the clock is replaced with a rectangle. If I return it to System fonts it works fine. It did seem like this was a commonly reported issue in one of the previous versions, and this should be fixed.

I have Windows 10(Build 15063) that is currently on 3.19 Build 17092 (1707.1.812.11) and I had checked the connection to I think it was the Insider key and if I removed the Insider key I am stuck at Build 15063 (see screenshot below). Hopefully the Insider key should be removed if you are the key which is to get the Winaero Tweaker Pro. I had previously downloaded the Win 10 Tweaker Pro 0.7.0.3 and in that version I had been running it daily for 2 or 3 weeks and was able to update Windows without any problems. Now when I do the updates I cannot for some reason remove the Insider key so I am stuck at the older Build.

Now because of that, I don’t think there’s a need to uninstall the Winaero Tweaker Pro 0.7.0.3, but at the same time I have a couple of other concerns that might be related to this that I might have to ask for some help on:

Since Tweaker Pro v18.0, it’s seems to be more consistent with user preferences. However, the before version (including v18.0) was more capable. Tools like “Have Winaero Close Thumbnails” (similar to the way MacOS does), allows you to “Remember” these tweaks even after the PC is restarted and is working fine.

Hey guys, Ive been trying to get Winaero Tweaker to work in Windows 10 (Version 1709) on my Surface Pro 4 (3rd Gen), and every time I run it, it simply closes. It opens fine when I run it as admin. Ive tried all the options I could find online, but nothing has worked. Are you able to help?

The best Tweaker for Windows 10 will be the one that will make the most sense to the average user. If you can use that as the basis, with a bit more thought, and a bit less developer-oriented, that may work for you. You’re certainly not the only one who wants to “make things faster” or fix problems, and the above Tweakers are certainly not any worse than others. I think it’s probably fair to say that many other users find the above Tweakers to be a really powerful tool. But I also think that most, or maybe most, users want more of a balance than what is presented above.

I hope you can help me. In the old version the settings were stored in %appdata%/winaero and were accessible. With the new version I changed the registry. After the installation I found out that the settings are stored in %localappdata%\winaero. If I remove the registry keys and put them in %appdata%/winaero and %localappdata%/winaero, nothing happens. Have you already implemented this function?
If not:
i) Create a new user account
ii) Install Winaero Tweaker in this account
iii) copy the registry keys from the old user account to the new user account
iv) copy the files to the new user account
v) Delete the old user account.
vi) Delete the old user profile.
vii) Delete the user settings and move the settings to the new user account.
viii) Delete the.reg files in %appdata%/winaero and %localappdata%/winaero.
ix) Start Winaero Tweaker.
x) Everything is working fine. Can you help me please.
