I just bought a brand new Samsung Notebook scanner. Ive been using ProSoft and have had no problems with it. Ive spent the last 2 hours using VueScan trying to get it to work. And Im not the only person having this problem. Ive used my Canon and HPs devices with no issue. No help from the Hamrick rep either. When I say im not the only person with the problem, I mean, theres at least 100 people having this problem on google. Im seriously thinking about selling my $1000 scanner for a $500 one. Somebody would still have to pony up the 200 bucks to get my work done. Ive spent hours on this, and Hamrick has no answer.

I’ve been using VueScan for years. I’m a consultant using a Fujitsu ScanSnap. It works like a champ. From what I’m reading, my experience may be unique. The problem started when I made the following adjustments in VueScan:
